Why did they use aluminum around honey?  I think they should have stayed with plastic or stainless.  In the products menu it reads $139 for the frame.  Is that a set of 6 or just one frame?

I think that the $139 price is for 3 frames.  A set of six is $219.  I don't like that their web site doesn't give the price til you add the item to the cart.  Kind of deceptive to me.

I don't see anything deceptive.  Many merchant web sites run that way.  Nothing says you have to follow through with the order.  Think of it as you are getting a quote.

That product has been on the scene a while now.
I have not run across any challenge to it by the FH crowd
so maybe whilst it uses much the same 'cell' formation
it may well beat the "3 differences" patent rule.
Don't know, and not bothered as I have my toy frames
and a man can only indulge himself so much in one Life
lest the g0dz vent their wrath upon thee, unceremoniously.

I would not want to eat honey that was made in aluminum cells. Aluminum is not part of our chemistry and is not good for you. It will leach out into the honey. Not good.
I also do not like using aluminum cooking pans for the same reason.

Jim the cells are plastic but the top bar and some of the mechanism is aluminum.  Still, I agree.

About 45-50 years ago one was designed using aluminum for the comb.

And as I have read (never seen) the structure was flawed in owning
cells angled in such a way as the honey leaked across the face of the frame.
