Why Does the TV Media follow blogs so closely?

Where is "all of the above"?  I think that's the real answer.  They use them to serve their agenda.  They also use them somewhat to gauge what the real people think.  But, of course, they filter them for their own purporses.

Summerbee:
They claim (the media) that blogs are a gauge of public opinion; but bloggers' opinions are not an accuratemeasurement of overall public opinion.  Only a small percentage of the population expresses their opinion on a blog, and usually for some subliminal purpose.  I think they just pick one that matches their story's theme.  But it is pointless... they get to pick and choose who goes on the air, so you don't get any conflicting views.  Just another way of picking the person you want to endorse your story...
