Anyone Grow Sugar Cane
« on: April 05, 2012, 04:47:47 pm »

I want a start of sugar cane but have no clue where to get a stalk.
I found some on ebay but seemed really high I mean I might pay you 7 for one stalk but not a 6 inch cutting. Looks like that might be where I have to get it though. So I thought I might just ask if anyone knew where I could get some stalks.

Holler at the folks at your local farmer's coop, they very well may have some information for you.  Farmer's markets, too.

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."..."The press is our chief ideological weapon." - Nikita Khrushchev

There's got to be someone around you somewhere that grows it...ask for a chunk. I've grown it off and on for a long time and have never had a problem finding it.

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
