Should I add a package to my nukes in the spring

I'm going to start beekeeping in the spring. I've been planning to just get two nucs. Recently I saw a video suggesting that I add a package to the nucs. Any thoughts?

If the nucleus colonies are any good, then no.  If the nucleus colonies are poor, then delete the nucs and just get packages. 
It is an either-or thing.  Not a combo thing.

Ahmm, if you have to add a package to a nuc it isn't a real nuc.  The other way around is more likely if the package queen was a dud.

LoL, there is quite a difference between a colony and a hive.
Let's restart from the beginning ... What are your goals?  Why do you want bees?

I think he?s splitting a package of bees, decided among mating nucs and adding queens rather than what it sounded like what was asked. We don?t buy a nuc and a package and combine them. You could, and pinch a queen, and newspaper combine, but generally no.
