Hello, my name is Sumner and I'm a member of East Wind Community here in the heart of the Ozark mountains (south central Missouri). New beekeeper, trying to start up this upcoming spring. At the recommendation of a friend I am taking quite a bit from Michael Bush's book and website. The frame thing is something I'm trying to figure out. All mediums seems to make sense, but suppliers I've talked to say the queen is easier to find on deeps and thus those are more popular (I've also inherited primarily deep frame boxes, although I can cut them if need be). Can't wait to learn the best way... by experience.
Currently reading Langstroth's Hive and the Honey-Bee and it is both entertaining and enlightening!
I'll be lurking about here, best of luck to everyone this upcoming season.

Had I read closer, your answer was already in your first post. Don't know how I missed it.
Cheers
