RV/CAMPING RALLY????? (poll)
« on: April 17, 2005, 08:24:38 pm »
Hi Everyone:

I just looked at Eivindm's Maps of the US in the Eastern Region and count about 40 members within an 8 hour drive of this area.

I'm wondering HOW MANY MEMBERS in the Bee Forums (this is world wide) are RVers or Campers???

In particular - I wonder if ANYONE with the equipment and availability would EVER concidar a RALLY - a get together, let's say somewhere like GETTYSBURG or other neat place where we can all hang for a weekend.

I know this won't sound as crazy in a year or two when membership is a bit higher, but even a few couples meeting and partying for a few days from the forum would be a great way to meet each other beyond the limits of the forum.

But really..... Who has travel trailers, popups, tents, Class C, Class A, truck campers, any means of camping in the forum???? Not for a rally purpose (not yet unless by some miracle we literally did have numbers that jived) but in GENERAL, how many campers are in the forums???

Poll to follow - I hope EVERYONE takes the poll - camper or not, you will find a choice.

John my family has had all types of campers, new and old. I myself am weird becuase I love are 40 ft bus but love to work on and stay in teardrop campers. Right now we have 1 bus, 2 fith wheels, and 3 pull behindes but I have only stayed in the bus, lol. If my grandpa wasnt in the auto biss then I would be so lucky to try all of these types of campers out. But for long trips I would say I would take the bus and for short trips the teardrop. bye :D

I submitted class C. Not real sure what class it might be. It's a thirty four foot Midas. I need to do a lot of work on the interior. Mostly water damage. (mice)

I also have a little travel trailer down in the desert that I have just about completely stripped out to convert to just sleeping quarters. There is a school bus about 40 ft long down there also. Used mostly for storage.

Then I have three tents and various other camping gear. I don't mind going out and ruffing it just me and the wife. But the kids are spoilt on TV, video games, computers, Running water, ect, ect. We can't even get a cell signal down there. YEA!!!

I have gone down and spent forty days and forty night by myself down there. Well the wife would come down on her long weekends from work.

I plan on getting some bees down there perhaps next year. Give me an excuse to go down more. Hehe.

I didn't take the poll because I'm not sure which applies best to me.

Before we had our son,  the wife and I use to go tent camping every year for our vacation.  Sometimes to just get away from everything and just relax and other times for sight seeing.  We spent a week in DC and another in Niagra Falls.

Since then my parents have retired and progressed thru 3 RVs and are now up to a Class A.  We now borrow that each year for our vacation.  Before my son started school, we would spend the week after labor day in Lake George.   We have also done a week in Hershey.

I would definately be up for an East coast Rally.   Just need to convince the wife

We have a tent, and have only put it up in the back yard on the island. :) The kids have loved sleeping out there any part of the year - even winter because most of the time it's not too cold.

I'd love a camping trip, but can't. Too many animals to let me leave. But campers are welcome here.
