Title: Newish beek from Missouri
Post by: celiumbee11 on August 19, 2019, 11:22:04 pm
I started 3 years ago with one nuc now have 3 hives by splitting.
My main interest in bees was pollination. Hobbies include beekeeping, gardening, woodworking, and the many sub categories between; though I'm an IT engineer by trade.
I use lang hives, which I built, but am considering trying a horizontal hive. I also have a ware hive but have yet to use it. I bought it before I knew much and then realized no-one used them here, so getting a nuc that size wasn't doable, so I built what fit the frames. I might sell it and move to horizontal.

I came across this forum looking into bees and their relationship to wood/fungi. I'm very curious about natural beekeeping, so naturally found myself in that forum.
Now I'm researching stuff on feeding bees mushroom laden sugar water vs traditional 1:1 and the effect it has on their immune systems and virus load. And here I am feeding one of my hives
