I stay away from glass. Too expensive to ship and difficult to transport after filling for honey sales. I use betterbees 6oz bear. Shipping free on 200 lot, fill'm, put in 5gal bucket and on my way. Huge sellers.

How about using them for gifts? I am going to have honey for 3 years before I will be able to sell any, between kids friends neighbors there won't be much left over for a while.  Tony

Yeah, shipping charges these days are through the roof. Plastic's a lot lighter, so it gets my nod.

I bought the 12 oz glass bear and bee from B&B Honey Farm in Houston, Minnesota. My customers love them! They are great for gifts and the bottle is more apt to be kept and reused rather than thrown away. I went online after I got them and there were people selling them filled for anywhere from $5.00 a jar to $9.50. Not a bad per pound rate! I figure the bottles cost about $1.05 each without shipping.

Absolutely. I use them to tip hairdressers, mailmen, muwsic teachers , teachers and teachers aides, neighbor who takes in mail or walks dog on a day you are running late. Its also how I sell so many. People just eat them up and 6oz is the smallest I have found so far. Also cost is nominal so people are likely to try it. ( $3/ea or 4 for 10).Return customers are where its at for me. 10% of my customers buy 90% of my product.
