heating element

I noticed a lot of bee keepers use light bulbs to heat honey with. I have found that a heating element out of a ritchie stock waterer works well for me .I use a cement block in the bottom of  a refrigerator to stick it inside to keep it from burning anything.  You can get them in 250 or 150 watt. Spendier but never burns out seems like. Just thought I would share that. Harold

People use a whole lot of things to warm honey including putting a jar on a window sill and let the sun do it.  light bulbs are immediately available everywhere in different sizes so I think that is what makes them popular.

I use light bulbs in the bottom of my heater and control it with a standard hot water heater thermostat. It works real well. I use a 150 watt bulb. You can use a smaller one but they are slower to get the honey to 104 degrees.
