School to sue beekeepers?

I've read a number of variations of this story where school kids are supposedly being stung and cars pooped on by bees. One article says the beeks are "across town", another says "neighboring property". I did some googling and the beeks and school are on the same street, about a half mile from each other. If bee droppings on cars parked at the school - a half-mile away from the hives - are that bad, someone should be looking for a feral colony.

You know living in Florida is never dull. But I guess that is why Carl Hiaasen bases his novels here and fark.com gave Florida it's own tag.
