Winter is here
« on: May 11, 2018, 03:49:20 am »
Snowed for about 12 hours last night and then again for a few hours today in my yard.
Temp has finally climbed to 4c, expected to keep climbing overnight and through tomorrow to a top of 9c at sunset.
Back to flying weather next week with clear days and maximums in the low teens.

Has been exceptionally warm until this cold spell hit and also very dry. Virtually no grass in the paddocks and soil temps are still quite high so it has been melting nearly as quickly as its fallen.

Snow wow, here in Dubbo its darn cold too,9 degrees C, whats the closest towns to you. Our friends over the pond would probably go swimming at 9 degrees. My bees were not keen to come out at all yesterday. Its still dry as my block is just dirt.

Bees are within flying distance of Batlow, if you look for Batlow weather you really need to check what weather station they are giving you.
The 2 closest are Tumbarumba which is usually a little warmer and Cabramurra which can be a fair bit cooler.
