After my hive failed last year I ended up with a lot of frames with pollen in them. This year I have two 10 frame hives, I split the drawn comb with the new hive. The queen might have 3 or 4 good brood frames to lay in and the rest is honey and pollen. Is that enough, the bees are bringing in pollen like crazy last week (It's been raining all this week.) The second deep I plan on putting on is the same thing. If she does lay in the pollen frames it's going to be spotty, will the other workers think she's a failing queen? Am I over thinking it all? I have so many questions on the pollen frames, do you ever pull them and give them a new one? Will she lay eggs in the second deep or is it just for food? Thanks, I know that was a lot.
