Our Rose of Sharon is blooming here in East TN, as well as Trumpet Vine (cow itch) and I noticed a lovely hardwood tree that I didn't recognize out on the river.  23 June.  Our red clover is coming in and some white as well.  My melons and pumpkins are blooming.  Lots of roadside wildflowers.  I have Zinnias blooming and roses too.  Mimosa trees are blooming wildly.  That's all I can think of for the moment.  My bees are really busy, so there must be something good out there for them...

Zip 32754   Cabbage Palm

Some trees are just now starting to bloom. I saw bees working them today, (6-30-11.)

I'm very happy!  :-D

My bees needed something since the citrus was a flop.

08 July 2011, Red Crepe Myrtle, 72012
Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)

Garden veggies and fruits. Red raspberries, cukes, squash, etc.

Is aristocracy.

Brazilian Pepper

I have been noticing new growth on the pepper for several days now, but today (9-17-11) was the first that I saw bees on it. Actually, as I was walking up to it, I heard the bees before I saw them. They were all over it!

Maybe off topic, as I can't report on any bloom. But I do see some green grass and dandelions emerging here in S. East S. Dakota.....Seems a little early.

Great map!!!!
A swarm of bees in May is worth a load of hay; A swarm of bees in June is worth a silver spoon; A swarm of bees in July isn't worth a fly.
