The beek law...

"All bees entering Kentucky shall be accompanied by certificates of health, stating that the apiary from which the bees came was free from contagious or infectious disease. -KRS 252.130 (Passed in 1922; Repealed in 1948) "

It's been repealed... but I've seen similar laws in other states that haven't repealed it... but it only applies to interstate transport of bees (which also likely makes it unconstitutional for the individual states to have such laws, as interstate commerce is governed at a federal level... but I doubt it's ever been worth anyone's trouble to challenge any of them in court.

Check the current statutes. http://www.kyagr.com/statevet/regulations/index.htm

Wow, looks like they repealed all of their beekeeping statues in 1948... wonder what prompted that, and again a few new ones were repealed in 1986.

It looks like there are only a few regulations left...
.170 definitions
.180 state apiarist duties and powers
.185 kentucky beekeeping fund
.190 rules for control of diseases
.200 quarantine
.210 appeals process
.240 right of access to premesis for state apiarist
.990 penalties

19 other regulations were repealed... 16 in 1948 and 3 in 1986

The ones left look pretty similar to my state.
