For You Hunters: Converts to an easy and quick, tree stand or seat?

For you construction guys such an animal, what do you think of this design of ladder jack?

I have/use these :

because of weight and space savings and durability.

If you built those well, they would be safe to use. I built a pair similar to that years ago when I was starting out, and by the time they started to get weak from being banged around, it was better for me to buy the light metal ones. I wouldn't buy the off-brands .. stick with Werner or another good company ... same for scaffold boards

edit: There are lots of complaints about the jacks I linked to .. about Chinese hardware. My jacks are really old (20+ years) and came with American grade 5 hardware, and even though mine are Werner, I'm not sure they are exactly the same design as the ones I linked to. Over the years, I've replaced  hardware in a lot of my tools with either American Grade 8 or stainless(more or less grade 7 equivalent) as well as using nyloc nuts where possible . They have grade 8 in them now.

Chinese unmarked hardware is generally below grade 3 (trash). Their stainless is likewise trash. In general, Chinese metal is garbage ... bad alloys, impurities, bad heat treatment.. the works. Even their mild steel pipe is a nightmare to thread.

My Lil Giant ladders have this system as an optional feature. I have never used them.
