Title: Anyone artificially inseminate??
Post by: BjornBee on February 04, 2009, 07:46:51 am
I see that Swienty and Schley, both manufacturers of insemination equipment sells kits with everything from CO2 tubes, to cold light, etc. Then I also see that Joe Latsha sells a scaled down kit that looks like it does not have or use CO2. His site does not mention or have a picture of CO2.

Can you, or has anyone, done artificial insemination WITHOUT using CO2 and have good results?  It seems some of the kits that have CO2, cold lamps, etc., run into the couple thousand dollar range. Joe sells his for far less. So is this a good way to go? Or are you going to get a inferior product? Or are people using his kit and just applying CO2 by a more cheaper way like blasting the queen with a simple hose connection?

Thank you.
