I started taking my Son hunting when he was quite young, 3 years old. When shooting, either hunting or sighting in my rife, even while wearing ear plugs, I would tell him to cover his ears when I got ready to shoot. After shooting at a doe one time at over 300 yards, I wasn't sure of the hit. I asked John if I had hit it. His reply warmed my heart.   :grin: "You shot, didn't ya!" The doe had fallen at the shot but was in some high grass as it turned out.
