Title: NY Thruway Hives
Post by: leominsterbeeman on May 03, 2005, 06:22:09 pm
Ever go hive hunting?  As I drive around, I usually don't keep my eyes on the road as much as I should and if I see something that is rectangular and hive shaped, I fix my gaze to see if it is a hive or not.

I was driving to Rochester, NY yesterday,  and I spotted about 50 hives on the  side of the NYS thruway.  Heading westbound around mile marker 205 there are about 25 hives - All multicolored - white pink, light green.

Then again at mile marker 218.8 - about another 25 - the same multi-colored look.   I guessing that these all belong to the same beekeeper.   These are set back and easier  too see as you head west.  You can even see them as you head east.
