Attractive Cut Comb Containers?
« on: June 08, 2016, 03:21:53 am »
G'day,

I'm looking for some containers to sell cut comb. I don't want to use Chinese takeaway style containers, flimsy plastic, or 'clam shell' type containers. I've seen two piece boxes that are rigid and made from clear plastic that I really like the look of but can't find where to get them from in Australia..

Looking for something like this:

Any ideas?

Thanks!

We use Meco plastics in Melbourne.  Good service and product. Give them a call, Nathan there will either get a product to you or put you in touch with someone in Qld. They aren't a clear plastic. We found that the clear plastic is very brittle, so too many returns for damages that where out of our control plus they didn't seal tight and need tape around the seal. If you do want the clear container it's from a Nz manufacturer I'm not sure who their distributor is in Brisbane. Again Nathan will sort you out there. Meco 0397116286.
Good luck let us know how you go.

Thanks for that, I'll give him a call. Looks like they do have a clear version - is that the brittle one you were talking about?
Also, can you attach a photo of what your comb looks like packaged up in one of those boxes?
Thanks for the help!

I think it's the HC450 & HC250 from Meco

Did you end up buying these PhilK? I also don't wish to use those flimsy cheap takeaway containers. I've done some research and the only company that I've found is mecoplastics, which sell HC450 and HC250. They seem like decent products, but I'm wondering if you've actually used them and what they're like.

The comment regarding the clear plastics to be more brittle is intriguing.
