Youtube Video Editor - sweeeet
« on: June 17, 2011, 06:45:51 pm »
It is amazing how I have used Youtube for years now and I don't know when "Video Editor" started, but what a simple and perfect program for us Flip-cam people (any cam really) who uploads ridiculously short clips that are often only 20 or 30 seconds long and are disjointed.

The editor allows you to drag all your clips (I have over 200) to a timeline where you can do simple but effective editing to the individual clips and then assort them into a more effect complete movie. Then, using annotations, pop-up bubble and other cool little effects, you can take the finished product and really point out different scenes.

I have about 100 Bud2 and Bud3 clips, all over my Youtube page at www.youtube.com/njbeemster but I'm dragging all them into a longer more interesting video that allows you guys to see what I captured without having to constantly load individual clips. Having 10 minute videos from all these clips is a blessing and FRANKLY I really thought I'd like the Movie Edix Pro 16 program I bought, it is VERY POWERFUL (professional quality editing) but I'm not a professional editor and it is complicated and overkill. Now, that I finally found Youtube Editor (honestly, it is right there and I never saw it until today) I can make sense of everything I have and HOPEFULLY give JP a bit of a run for his Bud3 videos :)

Again, I'm not going for a greatly edited movie yet, but a montage of clips in some kinda order that is enjoyable to watch - wish me luck.
