Change of Days Queens
« on: March 27, 2014, 02:04:42 pm »
OK, Being the newbee that I am, I've read for countless hours on many subjects involving our beloved honey bees.  In the past few days the subject of the queens from after the change of days.

So i thought i would ask everyone to chime in here about their experiences with the change of days queens.  From what I've read it would seem that they don't recognize that the change of days has happened and don't shut down as quickly as the spring time queens do, which would mean that they take a larger brood into winter.  Which would help the folks on the pollination circuit get better money at the almonds.

So what I'm looking for here really is some input from some of the larger beeks to see what their experiences are with this thought.
Thanks,
Thomas
