How to subscribe to an American bee journal from Australia

I tried on line to subscribe to BeeCulture but from overseas this seems to be very difficult - there is no OS box to tick.
So I tried the American Bee Journal and all went well until I want to close the deal - does not work.
I tried to ring them. Out of hours, leave message. Message box is full.

Do these people want my business or not?

I was able to subscribe to the digital edition of Bee culture.

Using the "Subscribe" menu option there is a "Country" field in which I could select "Australia" but the payment failed that there was an address validation failure (my guess is that even though there is a Country field on screen the address sent to the credit card validation was probably sending "USA") .

Using the "Store" menu option there is an entirely different purchase process. It too failed on address verification for a credit card but Paypal is an option here and that worked for me. Yay!
