Yes indeed.

There is not a lot of meat on a laying hen so it is best to just make soup.  And oh what a soup they make.

Oh, he's not quite big enough yet.  We are planning on butchering in mid-November.  Just working on getting prepared.  Our gambrel just came in the mail today actually.
