Well, it didn't go as smoothly as planned...the can got stuck, then I got stuck. I had to go back and put the box in the hive after they calmed down a bit. I hope they like their new home.(and that they stay)

good to see pics. seeing signs they're home to stay yet?

Thank you. Well, there are some around the "door" and the queen is still in the queen box...with a couple of holes poked in the sugar to make the escape easier. Hopefully they will decide to stick around as she can't run off. :)

Did you pick bees up in PA yesterday?

I saw your posting on the "How did you choose your member name?" thread and saw you are in Caroline. I am on the Talbot/Caroline border between Matthewstown and Dover Roads. I assume that since you got Georgia bees on the 18th that you got them from Mike Embrey. I picked up six packages from him that day.

Hey there, 2ndcharter... Wow, six packages! Do you have them all at one place? Yep, I got them from Mike.
-
Yes, all one apiary. Started last year with a package and a nuc. This year, gangbusters. I'm on the Choptank and have to take advantage of the acres of marsh mallows.
