Fall flow, hive weight day by day.
« on: September 09, 2019, 07:40:04 pm »
Very dry here in N Arkansas, I see very bee flowers, however the bees are still finding food, somewhere?  See pic of hive weight.  Over 100 pounds and gaining everyday.

I have been around bees a long time, since birth.  I am a hobbyist so my answers often reflect this fact.  I concentrate on genetics, raise my own queens by wet graft, nicot, with natural or II breeding.  I do not sell queens, I will give queens  for free but no shipping.

Very interesting repetitive shape to that graph. Intake vs consumption

How about in take of nectar and out go of evaporated water, making at least part of the sawtooth pattern.

You are doing a good job Mr Van. I like the way your scientific approach works!! Keep up the good work.

It would be interesting to see time of day on the X axis.

Mr. Ace I can touch the graph and time of day will appear.  What you see is a pic of the graph, not touch active.  I activated the X axis, took pic, looks like 8:00 AM hive loses weight.  At 8:00 AM, lots of field bees leave the hive, the scale is sensitive enough to weigh difference.
