Johnny
Now what did she do?.........
-
she told that it was a good deal, but diseal is $1 more higher than gas
-
but the diesel trucks get better milage per gallon and it doesn't change much when loaded down. in the long run, my diesel is cheaper to run that the old gas truck i had. i could watch the gas gage go down when i went over the mountain pulling a loaded trailer!
-
but right now I am not pulling anything I got a small crew cab truck that get 28 mpg
-
Not to mention you usually can get 300,000 miles or more from a diesel.

The real reason for turning down the diesel truck, you're not losing you mind you've already lost your heart to a chevy.
-
the best reason for doing it is that you don't really need it and the money can be better spent on something else....or saved. your concern and foresight will make her feel warm and fuzzy :-)

Diesels are noisy and they stink
-
the new ones are pretty quiet and you aren't supposed to sniff them!
-
It's when I get behind them in traffic. My nose is real sensitive to petroleum products. A vehicle in need of a tune up really gets to me. YUK!! Burning oil or diesel smoke stays with me for awhile, like it gets stuck to the inside of my nose or something.
Back in the good old days I hopped into my buddies car and told him he needed to replace his fuel pump. He asked why. I said it was because it is leaking. When we got to where we were going I opened his hood and showed him the slight "wet" spot where the gas was leaking out. He couldn't smell it.

My younger brother set up a biodiesel processor in his back yard, now his truck exhaust smells like french fries or taco shells, depending on which restuarant he gets his oil from.

Mines a Chevy 2500hd, its very quiet for a diesel, I just wish it was a 4x4, that's my only complaint. Jerry, get your nose away from my exhaust pipe, you'll sleep better at night.
