Caught a Swarm!

My neighbor called yesterday, saying that a cluster of bees was in his year.  Went over and, lo, there they were on a low branch of a sage bush.

Mary brought me a pillow case.  I put it over the branch and shook them in there.

Took them out to the farm and dumped them into a hive that was set out as a bait hive.  Gave them a gallon of syrup.  This is my first time to catch a swarm.

What a hoot!
