Agrostemma -- Purple Queen
« on: November 24, 2007, 11:06:03 pm »
This is a plant that I had read was great for bee forage.  The plants were very sprawling, but the flowers were so pretty, different shades of blues and mauves (purple is called blue), it would make for a beautiful plant to be set among the wildflowers, but too wild for cultivated areas, in my eyes.  Beautiful, but I narry once saw a bee on them, but they made the most beautiful cut flowers, I will be propagating them again this year, to be set away from the main flower gardens, but close enough for picking,  ;) :) :)  Have a wonderful and great day.
