Mustard flowers
« on: September 26, 2013, 06:59:42 am »
Can anyone tell me about the honey bees make from mustard flowers? There has been rape seed here for the last few years but this year the local farmer has changed to mustard for next year. Does mustard honey crystalize as fast as Rape seed honey? Or is it (as I hope) not as bad?

The wild mustard around here is worked by the bees.  The mustard greens my friend plants are worked by the bees.  I don't know what the honey is like as they burn it all up in the spring raising brood.
