Title: Good Morrow from Southern WV
Post by: StraferX on May 06, 2019, 01:44:31 pm
Hello from Southern West Virginia,

New to bee keeping however I grew up around Amish beekeepers most of my life and finally decided to get involved myself. A life time of studying bees and now to get my hands dirty. I started 2 hives the 24th of April with the assistance of my daughter and 12yr old neighbor boy.

Our experiment is to be as natural as possible with as little disturbance as necessary. One of my greatest interest is the uses of Propolis and the bees interaction of different mushrooms and fungi.

So far the bees are hammering away at the foundationless frames 2:1 over the wax foundations and have gathered a ton of resources.
I sit in aw at the entrance of the hives and watch them endlessly working.
