Face Cleansing Grains
« on: November 26, 2024, 05:24:01 pm »
I made up a double batch of face cleansing grains today, another recipe from one of my favorite books, Beehive Alchemy by Petra Ahnert.  I use this powder twice a week, and it really helps with my oily skin.  You just mix some up with a little water to make a paste, gently scrub your face to exfoliate, and then let it dry before rinsing it off.  It's got rice, oatmeal, kaolin clay, bentonite clay, pollen, freeze-dried goats milk, flax seeds, and herbs in it.  I decided to use up some older powdered herbs in this batch, so it's got comfrey, mullein, and chickweed in it this time.
I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

I have oily skin and I look a bit younger than I am. Are you sure you want to dry yours out?

Based on how much acne I get, yes, my skin is producing WAY more oil than it needs.
