Church Bees Removed From Soffit With Man Lift-April 22, 2011
« on: April 23, 2011, 03:54:46 pm »
My buddy Trace, Javier & Jose helped out on this one. The lift sucked! The company gets an F- for maintenance. Batteries were virtually empty. The lift set us back quite a bit in time but we got it done and I got a really big fat queen out of it and a strong colony.

Hope y'all enjoy it!

JP,

Interesting removal. Glad it was you and not me.  :-D

Gauging from the shadows, the roof (which looked black) faced west? If so, I am really wondering how important summer ventilation is.

Thx again amigo.

Nice find there.   And those jets were cool also.    But with the lift, were were the safety harnesses at?   OSHA needs that money.   Great video

Great video. Always interested in seeing how you go about attacking each removal as they are all different.
I almost rented one of those lifts before for a removal. Guess I better make sure they have the lift well maintained before I pull one off their lot!

Was a chunk of brick section hacked away to remove more comb section behind it?

Very nice removal JP. Even with all the equipment difficulties you still make it look easy. This is a sure sign of your vast experience.

Great job and thanks for sharing it with us!

Yes, Javier "hacked" the hell out of about 8-9 bricks so I could remove comb behind the brick.  :-D

The jets were very cool. You did alright with the removal as well JP. Fortunate to have the rail so you weren't required to harness, although I mayhave anyway considering the maintenance issues with the lift.
Cool video JP!

OK that is when I called you JP and you could not talk at the time. Now I understand what you were up against.

I tell you JP, our queens out here are puny little things compared to yours out there. You would not believe the difference.

Thanks for sharing this very difficult removal with us.
