Here is a program I used to recover photos on a camera card I deleted before transferring to my hard drive.
It's free and easy to use!

At the left of the page is the download link

What program would that be?

Another great application is TestDisk (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk). I used this when Windows XP told me that my drive needed repairing and started working (without my approval).
When it was done I saw my nicely formatted drive, the same drive that once contained all of my pictures and music (and my most recent backup wasn't that recent).
This program does wonders!
