Hey Y'all
« on: June 21, 2016, 07:45:21 am »
Name is Jaimes from the outer banx of NC. First year keeping bees myself, but I've been around pollinators for a long time. I've got 3 hives and one nuc with a queen cell I just put together last Friday. A good friend had a warehouse that was slated to be demolished that had a 10 yr. old hive in the walls, so I studied put together some equipment and performed my first cut out. A week later another friend called me with 2 swarms in his yard so I studied again and caught my first swarm. About a month back I caught another swarm. A week ago my biggest hive (double deep+ medium brood) created a nice queen cell so I put 4 frames of bees+ h&p and 2 empty frames in a 6 frame nuc. Now I'm a happily confused beekeeper  Here are a few pics everyone loves pics.

Welcome! Sounds like you're off to a busy start. Just know that you are more than welcome to ask as many questions as you'd like. Also it'll be a great help if you update your profile and put your general location in it. Most questions about beekeeping are usually location specific.
