She cant fly and wont get back like the others.

Unless her wings have been clipped, she can fly and will likely rejoin the colony.

She can fly if she hasn't been fed for 3 days  (like prior to swarming) but if in laying mode she can't fly - too heavy. Saw this demonstrated at a field day when the queen was accidentally dropped into grass - her attendants flew off and left her crawling around and she made no attempt to fly - and her wings were not clipped at this point (that was the demonstration)
