Greetings from Lexington, KY
« on: July 18, 2014, 06:12:48 pm »
I'm a first year beekeeper. My maternal grandfather was a beekeeper and I always had interest. Eventually I couldn't stand waiting any more and got my first nuc in May. I performed my first split a couple weeks ago when I discovered some swarm cells and figured then was as good a time as any(yeah, I know that it wasn't the best time for a split but they seem to be happy so far. I'm about to do my first rescue of some bees set in a tree branch/trunk when time/weather prevails and hope to learn a lot from my fellow beekeepers around the internet.
