Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 0ne
« on: March 20, 2015, 01:14:49 pm »
I had heard this was not much but my teenage daughter was home with wisdom teeth out so we rented it. Heard it was just a two hour plus set-up for the next part. I knew it was more of a teen movie going in. I saw the first in the series and it was ok. The second just fair. This the third---- wish I had a thumbs down icon.
She went to sleep during it (drugs may have helped that) but so did I not drugs. A week later she again tried to watch it with some friends.... she said she feel asleep again.

Heck I can't even assign it a 1-10 rating.... I didn't see it!

I've read the books and seen the movies, including this one.  Greed is the top motivator for Hollywood, obviously.  There's no other reason to split the third book into two parts.  Then they had to pad out the action to fill the time requirements, which explains why this one was dulled to the point of putting people to sleep.  Keep it, and watch it when you have insomnia.  It'll be better than warm milk.

Despite that, I like Jennifer Whatsername work.  Her best role was Winter's Bone, her first movie.  Great acting in a really gritty world of meth and poverty.  Oh, yeah -- Jennifer LAWRENCE?  At least in this film, Woody Harrelson didn't chew the scenery as much.  In the first two movies, he was as bad as Al Pacino in some of his work.
