After that last post I decided I would whoop up my wife some fresh chicken. She got home way later than us, as in kids in bed later, so it worked out.

Had some breasts in the fridge. Pounded it to 3/4? thick. Added a seasoning to the meat, then buttermilk and flour/instant potato flakes for the bread with parsley, thyme, and oregano in the dredge. Served over last night?s awesome lasagna with a looooooooooooooooot of Ricotta cheese and Italian sausage, ground beef, red pepper flake, 3-4 different kinds of tomatoes, parm, mozzarella, herbs and seasons. Topped it with more cheese and hit it with the propane torch ( used to light the wood stove ) to melt/bubble/brown the cheese. It went into a warm oven and waited for Mama to get home.

Mango Pepsi's good, that's not a mess up.

I been working on that pot of dumplings. There is about one snack left.
You mean you didn't share them with anyone!  Shame on you, 30!  :cheesy:

It?s even better after it sits and mingles for a while and the dumplings soak up the juice.
I know!  And it reheats great.  We've found it freeze dries well too.
I was hoping it would be as good as the Orange Coke. It wasn?t, and I dig in my heels. It was a mistake. Im gonna double down.
As for the dumplings. They had their chance. I can?t help that I?m off all week and get to eat it 7 times a day by myself.

YUM!  Many women would kill for a husband who cooks that well, that late, just for them.

I'm not much for soda on the whole, so if you are adamant, I won't push it, but I had it once and I didn't think it was bad.  My mom and sister did regret a whole case of it though.  They wanted it to be as good as lime Pepsi.

As for the dumplings. They had their chance. I can?t help that I?m off all week and get to eat it 7 times a day by myself.

I don't even have a creative response to this one because I'm laughing too hard!!  :cheesy:  :cheesy:

I hope so. She said it was good.

I figure Italian food is kinda like Mexican food.

Mexican-every plate is a combination of beans, rice, cheese and protein

Italian- pasta, sauce, cheese, protein

You can put the sauce on top and call it one thing, and put the sauce on the bottom, and BAM!!, it?s a different dish.
If the rice and beans are on the side it?s a soft taco with a side of rice and beans. If they are inside,,,,wait for it,,,,, it?s a burrito.

Hollow open ended pasta noodles with cheese is macaroni.
Pasta pockets filled with cheese is ravioli. (Ehhh, maybe that?s not the same.)

A round noodle with sauce is spaghetti  and a flat noodle with lite sauce is linguine.

Is a tortilla with meat and veggies a Fajita or Chimichanga?

I do coffee by morning, water by day, and beer by night. None of that involves Lime Pepsi.

But for real. I don?t do much caffeine after morning coffee. I can feel it too much. I thought the mango sounded interesting. Sometimes you win, sometimes?..It wasn?t the worst thing, but a little too sweet.

Sliced leftover cooked lasagna noodles into ribbons.

Cooked and Melted together:
Cream and stock left from the dumplings.
Milk
Some herbs and spices from the cabinet.
Found a bag of Italian cheese in the back of the fridge that wasn?t fully green yet.
Pesto added to the sauce at the last minute.

Topped with fresh parsley and red pepper for the win.

Hi Folks,

Spaghetti Harvest:

That is a total riot!  I love how serious the announcer is!   :cheesy:

OH! Who cleans the stove and does the dishes?
In our house my adult sister and I always do the dishes, although we rarely cook, and my mom is the one who cleans the stove.

That looks super professional.  One of those pictures could be the cover of Taste of Home.

I'm just still not sure what to make of that.  I'm sure we'll get around to trying it at some point.  But not tonight!  Although we are having burgers too: imitation Big Macs and fries.  But Big Macs don't have eggs on them, so. . . .

HOLY COW!!  Are those sections of Lindt Lindor truffle bar on the tops of the ones on the right?!  My sister said she'd buy those cupcakes just for the topping!   Those would be tough to pass up, but I think I'd go for the chocolate orange ones.
