I agree!  That looks delicious!  I'd never have guess that was a throw-together plate of food.

I may have strayed a little. For one, I tend not to measure. For the final seasoning I wanted a little more salt, so I went with Ufra Pepper and Sichuan Salt. At the very very end, I still wanted a touch more salt, so, Tony?s to the rescue.

It wasn?t bad. It was basically my pot sticker sauce recipe for the cooking liquid and then topped again when plated.

There's nothing wrong with that.  There are few recipes that Mom doesn't adjust for our tastes.

My mom uses apple cider instead of white wine, and she also just uses ground pepper instead of whole peppercorns.  If you have any questions about it just let me know.  She makes it all the time in the winter, because it's SOOO good.

Ate it for supper last night, lunch today and it will probably be supper again tonight.

I burned the garlic toast. Put it under the broiler all buttered up and seasoned, got to talking to my brother on the phone and next thing you know, out the door it went smoldering and stinking up the house over the yummy lasagna smell.

Once it cooled down I brought it back in and gave it a good scraping and we ate it.

I been working on that pot of dumplings. There is about one snack left. It?s even better after it sits and mingles for a while and the dumplings soak up the juice.
