Title: AK beeks
Post by: hardwood on December 16, 2011, 02:01:51 pm
Any of you that might be around the Anchorage area want to trade some honey? My daughter is there at Ft Richardson and is having a hard time finding pure raw honey. I'll send you some from FL if you can hook her up!

Hardwood; have her check the local health food stores. Many folks up there bake their own bread, pastries etc. and need sources of grains and other ingredients. And believe it or not, there are lots of the "environmentally sensitive" yuppies, AKA Tree Huggers, around Anchorage who frequent the same stores.  :-D

Thanks fish. I thought of that but do think it'd still be "raw" honey?

She did luck out this summer and bought some from an AK beek at some sort of farmers market. She neglected to get contact info though.

Even if the natural food store doesn't carry it I betcha they can point her to someone who does.
