Goldenrod smell, in my head.
« on: October 14, 2014, 05:46:02 pm »
Now that I have smelled my hives and love it by the way. I can be anywhere and think I smell it. I even thought I smelled it at work. I'm sure its in my head, does this happen to anyone else. Since starting beeking this spring, I have been eating, sleeping and pooping bees. I am addicted :-)

Rookie, I had my first taste of goldenrod honey this weekend, only a finger full. It was good. Nothing like the smell, to me it's a rich strong(not over powering) taste. I have been out and about and think I smelt a hive somewhere.

You can smell the melaleuca nectar in the air from the flowers surrounding our property here and is nearly the same odor as the finished product.
