queen sticking to inside side of the hive

what is up with that... there is some larva but everytime i go into this hive, the queen is in the rear left corner(looking from back) this is confusing me. also lost another two hives....... this is a pain in the rump.....

how did you lose the other hives?  what do your stores look like? how old is the queen?  they do go through periods where they back off laying.  this seems often to be related to the nutrition available to the hive. 
Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.

The first hive I lost, was I accidentally wacked the queen.... but they grew another..... two month later hive absconded.....

#2 was a very strong 2x5 frame nuc  ...... moved to a one 10 frame box..... two month ...gone  plenty o stores.....

back to #1  there seems to be brood but lots of drone bees..... which doesnt make sense to me...... good stores for this time of the year, lots of activity and with all the rain we have been having an early blooming for fall......
