Newspaper claims suspect transformed into a goat

LAGOS, Nigeria – One of Nigeria's biggest daily newspapers reported that police implicated a goat in an attempted automobile theft. In a front-page article on Friday, the Vanguard newspaper said that two men tried to steal a Mazda car two days earlier in Kwara State, with one suspect transforming himself into a goat as vigilantes cornered him.
The paper quoted police spokesman Tunde Mohammed as saying that while one suspect escaped, the other transformed into a goat as he was about to be apprehended.
The newspaper reported that police paraded the goat before journalists, and published a picture of the animal.
Police in the state couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Belief in black magic is widespread in Nigeria, particularly in far-flung rural areas.

When I was 11 we caught this guy trying to steal the radio out of my Dad's Dodge van camper. We were throwing cheese at him as that was what was at hand at the moment. I threw this big chunk that hit him square in the forehead and he gave me this crazy look, I will never, ever forget! Then he pulls out a knife, a huge one! Well, I reached into the cheese bag and pull out this huge block of cheese and now the dude is scared cause I got him right where I want him. I am chasing him down the street and just as I am about to throw the "big block" he transforms himself into a plump 12lb turkey.
We cooked him up good the next day as it was thanksgiving. I almost forgot about that one, been a long time since I told that story to anyone.
It was a fine thanksgiving.

Me and my buddies had this encounter but in reverse.
We visited a small town fiesta and it was close to midnight when we are on our way walking back to our town. On the way, we saw this huge black dog circling around us. At first we think that we are just drunk, ignored the dog and continued walking. When we reach our house just before the town, we saw this huge dog preparing to attack. We were able to get hold of pieces or planks of wood to beat the hell out of the dog, finally subdued the dog and tied it with lots of rope. Since it was midnight, we decided to tie the dog to the fence, thinking that the owner might see it the next morning, giving us the chance to tell the owner not to let loose of his dog.
Then the morning came. Lo and behold, all the towns people were gathered at the fence where the dog was tied. The dog was gone but instead a naked lady was the one that was tied securely at the fence. The police and the barangay tanods came and did some investigation. We were drunk but we know that we tied a dog, not a lady, a naked lady. After several investigation, the lady was let loose and we knew we were in trouble for beating that lady. But then the case was unresolved since the lady wasnt seen from then on. Nobody knew who she was and nobody saw her after that incident.
Still gives me that creeps everytime I remember it.
