disinfection methods for AFB
« on: August 27, 2007, 08:44:28 pm »
Here's an interesting article comparing several methods of disinfecting AFB. The upshot is that complete heat treatment is better than anything, even scorching. Here is the full text of the article available for free. http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/action/showFullText?submitFullText=Full+Text+HTML&doi=10.1046%2Fj.1365-2672.2001.01376.x&cookieSet=1

you science types will enjoy. If only I could get a big enough oven.

I'd go for the "boiling in paraffin" method myself.  It will preserve and it will disinfect.

That's a lot of parrafin, but probably less expensive than one of those whopper ovens PDMattox posted.
