Earbuds
(1/1)
Kathyp:
This is not strictly a computer question, but I need to buy a new set of earbuds. I have not done this for a long time and as I read through descriptions they have a "c" rating of some kind. for example, one is listed as c17 wireless earbud.
I am usually good with tech, but I can't find an answer to what the c means. Some don't have it at all.

I've shopped for or helped shop for several pairs of earbuds over the last couple of years for myself or my family, and I'm not sure what that means. I didn't pay any attention to it, but I'm not an audio junkie or anything. If you are looking for something low to midrange in price, check out JLab or JVC. I've had a set of Bluetooth marshmallow buds from JVC for probably 4 or 5 years now, and they have held up really well, and I'm hard on headphones.

I never paid any attention either. I have some over the ear JVCs that are pretty good at noise canceling. I use them when I fly and they work well. I mostly do podcasts and audiobooks so the broad range for music is not as important. I have some off brand earbuds that I like but I am constantly getting them knocked out of my ear by a horse head or something, so I am looking for a set that has the ear hooks this time around.
I have some around the neck type, but they are dying so was looking for a replacement.
Oh and the reason I noticed the c thing is that I have an active noise canceling set that I use on the tractor or mower and the are c7, so it must mean something but for the life of me I can't find info.

The kind I have are the JVC True Wireless Marshmallows, and they have memory foam tips that sit really deep in your ear, almost like an earplug. I hate earbuds that just fall out, and I can't imagine that happening with these. I even sleep with one in a lot of times (I'm a side sleeper) to block out the noise from my teenage sisters' room which is next to mine.
Kathyp:
Those sound good. I'll look at them too. I usually keep a couple of Bluetooth something around and charged.
