Swarmed
« on: June 15, 2017, 06:19:31 pm »
Well bought a couple queens this am as I was going to split my two hives and went down to hives and one was in the process of swarming. I went into the hive after and they have 5-6 quenn cells capped. Should I just leave them to make a new queen as they have 6 queen cells already. And use the queen I bought to to split a different hives?? Or should I take the cells out and use the new queen??

Thanks for any help..

Personal preference, but I prefer home raised queens to store bought. Much less supercedure when they raise their own.
