That is undoubtedly the best article I have read in a long time. Instead of portraying the people in government as "Bad Guys" with un moral ties to the pesticide industry it explains the framework under which they operate.
It is not realistic to assume they will ever change. I have dealt with these people and they will not, under any circumstances admit they were in error. Nor will they comply with an order direct from the President or GOD himself to change the method under which they operate. They will nod their heads, smile and go on with what they were doing before. I have seen them do it and that is why I cannot live in DC anymore.
There are only two ways to force change on the industry that i can see and one is for the commercial beeks to refuse to pollinate fields that are treated or are in close proximity to treated fields. Or to charge the owners a premium for the treated fields that includes the replacement of the dead bees.
