almond oil as bee repellent?
« on: September 30, 2014, 08:13:31 pm »
Does anyone have information about using almond oil as a bee repellent -- like homemade Bee Go?  Or for protecting bystanders from bees?

I don't think any bee repellent is going to protect bystanders in any way.  They should label "bee go" as "people go"... That might work because the bystanders will be running away... Almond oil will make no difference to the bees at all.  Almond essential oil can be used to drive them out of a super.  But that in no way resembles almond oil.
