It is a nice unit. No, I wouldn?t get one myself or even make my own frames any more. Frames are so cheep to buy these days. It would cost me more to buy the timber to make the frames than to buy them outright. When I got into beekeeping I made about 400 frames from recycled timber but that was purely to keep initial costs down and for a bit of fun. These days, time is at a premium. If I kept making my own frames, time would be drawn away from other tasks or other hobbies which is not really an option in my case. What they don?t show in the video clip is the prep of the material before this machine is actually used. Ripping timber down for top, bottom and side bars and then docking that material to length takes a fair amount of time as well and is not considered. In saying that, it is still a compact and well designed bit of kit.
