Title: Moving your hive entrance
Post by: Lord Viykor on April 01, 2012, 06:33:12 am
I did a search and nothing came up related to my query.

Got my freeman beetle trap base in the mail last week, I realise the position of my hive wont allow me to remove the tray where it currently sits. It is on a large paver block surrounded by 20-30mm gravel at present.

To move and level up the base will take a bit of work, in order to make minimal disruption to the hive I'd like to simply rotate the box 90ยบ which means the entrance will have moved.

Is it possible to do this or will it freak the bees out too much?

Rotate 45 degrees today and another 45 tomorrow. The bees will be fine with it.
